I hold a PhD in Molecular Biosciences from the University of Graz, Austria, where I trained in biochemistry and molecular biology. I subsequently worked as an Erwin Schrödinger Fellow at Stockholm University, further developing my research in cellular proteostasis.
I am currently a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Umeå University, where my research focuses on how ageing affects cellular proteostasis. Using genome-scale and data-driven approaches, I investigate how protein quality control systems are coordinated across cellular compartments and how their decline contributes to disease.
